Cataclysm heirloom FAIL

In case everyone didn't already know, our wonderful heirloom items will not grant us our 10% bonus Exp. for levels 80-85. I really don't know why they decided to do this, but I believe that they are trying to slow down our leveling. It kind of stinks that they would do that, but I do not believe it will take that long to level.

Gold Rush Sundays!

So its Sunday again, and it is time to make some gold. Today I am going to be talking about gems. Epic gems are now pretty easy to come by, you just have to know where to look. The two main ways to get Epic gems is through Justice Points, and Honor. Since the expansion is coming out soon, there is no real reason to spend your justice points on getting gear, because it is all going to be replaced. The same goes for honor, why bother spending your Honor Points on gear, when you are going to replace it.

New Happy Home

So after being kicked out of my last guild... because I was "in-active" I decided that it was time to move on to bigger and better things. I have finally found my new home with EMBER and things seem to be going pretty well. We just killed Heroic Halion the other night, and we will be attempting Heroic Lich King soon enough. All and all I am pretty happy about being in this guild, and I look forward to raiding in Cata with them all.

So this wasn't exactly our first Lich King kill for the guild, but it was a first for me!! The whole fight is really really intense!! I still say Odette was the only reason we got him down :P. After Months of Farming... I FINALLY got it!!

I really don't have too much to say about this, I am just glad I FINALLY got this weapon. I had the two bindings forever, but getting the elementium ore was a huge pain in the butt!

Mounts Everywhere

Are you still looking for something to do while waiting for the new expansion to come out?

Why not start farming for some of these cool mounts :D. I know that I'm always trying to find some new fun things to do while waiting for cataclysm. You can always check out the website warcraftmounts.com to see what mounts your interested in. My only advice is once your start farming for one of these mounts, just keep it up and don't quit! Let me know what your guys favorite mount is in the game.

Authenticators

Try to hack me now! Lol So after the 3rd peron I know got hacked this past weekend, I decided to go ahead and put an Authenticator on my account. I have it connected to my phone, which is a good thing and a bad thing.

My biggest problem with this is that if I don't have my phone with me, I can't get online. So if my phone were to break, or if I were to get a new one, it would mess everything up. The security that the Authenticator offers is nice, however is it really going to be worth it in the end. I could be in a raid, and get a little blip in my connection and BAM be offline right in the middle of a pull. Now I will have to search around for my phone, which is hopefully charged, just to get back into the game! Well only time will tell now wether or not it is worth it, but hey at least I got this cool new pet!

Vork Gets some new gear!!

PVE to PVP??
So I have decided that I am going to try to do some PVP while I wait for the new expansion to come out. I have done alot of PVP in the past with my priest, but I have always wondered what it would be like to do it on my Warrior. I think that this will be alot of fun, and alot of trial by error. If you have any idea's or comments... leave me a comment :)... I am always up for hearing new specs, macros, gear, whatever you can think of that would make me better

Today will we talk about how to make money by making these motorcycles! First things first though, if you do not have at least 15,000 gold then sadly this is not for you. First things first though, you need to know an engineer, or have access to one.

Below you will see around what this is going to cost you.

The Market Price that I stated above should be anywhere from 1000g to about 1500g Depending upon your server. I made a bike today that cost me 13,688g. It sold later that same day on auction for 16,500. After the Auction house takes its 5% >.< I will still end up with a 2000g profit for almost no work. Remember that if you do decide to use someone else, make sure you trust them with your gold, and make sure that you give them a good size tip.

Arathi Basin!!

So with the new A-Team movie coming out, I feel as though this picture is perfect lol. I still am surprised to see how fast the Q's are for the instant PVP Battlegrounds. Blizzard might have actually done something right for those who like to PVP!! I even hear that you get arena points for winning!!

I tell you there is no better feeling then running around a battleground in all PVE gear, owning the people in their PVP gear. It turns out that we did win this fight, but I think it was because the horde was awestruck seeing me fly down on them :D

STRAT STRAT STRAT!
Lol I just looked at my screenshots and I found this lucky one. This was a lot of fun, and it really didn't take much effort. I have been slowing down recently on wow (with Graduations and partys). But I am still finding time here and there to play. When I do I actually enjoy running old world instances!

A run like this would take me about an hour for a full clear, and a full loot cycle, and you get a decent chunk of gold. The best part about this place is that you can level one of your friends in here, or one of your toons that is on a second account!

Anyway though, our late night ICC 10 man group got the lich king down to about 50%, which was huge for us, and I am looking forward to getting back in there and doing it again next week!! Wish us luck in there!

An Ogre's life

So I've been raiding alot lately... Too much actually, so I haven't been keeping up on things.(Mainly Sleep) But the Lich King is STILL alive lol, we gave him a few good attempts, but still no luck.
My warrior is doing pretty well though, I somehow snagged 4 peices of 25 man ICC gear ther other night, which was pretty sweet! Guess I have to just keep swinging to try to become the best tank on the server :D

Fun Times with Ogre's

So Our little 10 man group had a great time dressing up like Ogre's and dancing with the Lich King. It actually was our best attempt of the night :O (Might be something behind that).

Main Reason I am posting this though is because I would like to know what you do for fun in wow!! Like dance parties, or Weddings or even drinking bruhaha's. Let me know!! :)

To Worgen or not to Worgen??

I have been playing wow now for a very long time. (Since it first came out) I look back over the years and realize that I invested a lot of time into this game. I also take a look at my toons and wonder what in the world I am going to do with all of them!!

I went on a kick with heirlooms not to long ago to see how fast i could level. This pally over here I leveled from 1-80 in 5 days played time. But I look, and I have a toon of every class over level 60. While this may not be a problem for most people, this is a huge one for me. Every one of my character creation spots is taken!!! No spots for the cool Worgen!!!

I hope that blizzard will realize that they should give people 1-2 character creation slots, so I do not have to delete and re-roll a toon. The alternative to this is to wait until race change becomes available, which may be a LONG LONG while away... So who knows what I am going to do?!?

Sindragosa is dead!!
Well after about 5 hours total spent on this boss(over 2 weeks), we finally got her down. Or him down, Sindragosa sounds more like a girl name though. It was pretty cool, I'm not gonna lie, but at the same time sad. I remember spending 5 hours in karah on one boss... So I think they made it too easy, esp with the new buffs coming out every couple of weeks...

I tanked the Lich King!!

So yea tanking the lich King = Super cool. I was actually surprised that I was chosen to tank this bad boy, but still all the same I was happy as can be! It was def. worth all of the hard work, and time spent in there to finally be able to tank him!

Auctions selling!!!

I can't believe it but all my auctions are actually selling as well, I'm guessing Blizzard is trying to give back to me for that 24 hour forum ban lol but who knows. Well thats all I have to say about this. :D

To Change or not to Change.

What to do? So Garona over @ (http://pverogues.blogspot.com/) Got me thinking about some things with this new expansion. What are people going to be doing with all the things that they have stacked??

Now for me, I don't think this will effect my tanks too badly, considering the more the better with them. But I was wondering what the other classes will be doing. Like people will not need as much hit rating as they have now, but is it worth getting rid of all of it? Same thing with things like armor penetration, is it worth getting rid of or just holding onto for 5 levels?

I am still trying to decide wether or not I am going to get rid of my epics before I hit 85. Most likely I will keep all my toons the same, but for those fast levelers out there, I can see dropping 100+hit for more spell power, or Attack Power will be huge for them :)

Why people won't Raid

Sitting in Dalaran
So I have been sitting here in Dalaran for a good little while now. I have mainly been wondering why people no longer wish to raid. I joined 3 raid in the matter of 30 mins that never happened. People would just try for like 10 mins then give up. See I don't mind helping out the people, but I'm not going start a raid, and run the whole thing when there is no upgrade for me in that place.

Anyway though, I am writing because something happened while I was sitting here in the park. People just started to come up and sit down next to me. Then they would start talking to me! I was quite confused, but it actually was a lot of fun talking to them! So next time your in Dalaran try it out :)

So I figure that I am now going to take Sundays and make them my how to make some gold days :D. Most of these strategies are basic, but I believe they are still usful.

So I have found that the BEST way to make some gold in wow is to just simply wait! The most basic way to do this is just sit in a major city. You can log on your second account if you have one, or you can just sit there on your main account while your reading some blogs ;). But people will do some crazy things! The main thing that your looking for is someone who keeps spamming

Selling X for 100g
Selling X for 100g
Selling X for 90g

This is when you should strike, just offer them a little less then what they last listed it as. You want to find the people who are trying to get rid of things FAST for some quick gold. I am Reading this, and I think its a little confusing, so here is an example.

I came across a guy the other day who was selling frozen orbs in bulk... He had about 100 of them total. I just sat in trade chat for about 5-10 mins, and this guy just kept lowering his prices. So he eventually got down to about 24g each.(which is a little bit low on my server.) So I offered him 20g each for all of them. He surprisingly took this offer very quickly, and there went 2000g.

Success!

So I decided that I would post about 5-10 frozen orbs every day till they ran out, so i didn't flood the market. I sold them each for about 25g-30g. So my profit from this was between 500-1000g. Now most people would say oh that's nothing, thats just chump change ect. ect. But here is my last and final point. It took me two weeks to get rid of those orbs, and I made about 500g profit per week from them, but thats only ONE of the many things I do. I have 4-5 things like this going for me per week! So I can easily make between 2-4k gold a week just by people buying auctions!!

Raiding Fun??

So I log onto my warrior on early Wednesday before raid time, and I take a look at the list to see who all signed up. We had the about 12 people sign up, which is fine cause normally everyone doesn't show up anyway. Something though had changed, the text box had changed from ICC fresh start to ICC continuation. I looked at this and I was all types of confused. So I asked around to see what was happening.

After about 15 mins. of asking random raiders, I just decided to ask the raid leader himself. His response to my continuation was, "We didn't get that far last week, so I wanted to go in and try some of the bosses again." Now this may not seem odd to many people, but it seemed off to me.

Now here is where my questioning began. I talked to the raid leader and I saw both sides of the story. My Question to him was, "Why are we going to use the old raid ID number, if we couldn't do it last week, what makes you think we will be able to this week"(When you hit a 5500+ GS you don't get an upgrade that often) His response to this question was "Well we are going to try the new bosses and see if we can get them down, and if we can't we will just start fresh and no one will be saved."

My Problem
Soooo I think that this is a horrible way to go about raiding, I believe that we should go in and keep doing all the bosses that we can every single week because we can all benefit from the gear.(Myself Included). I think it would be much more benefitial to the guild as a whole killing 10 other bosses rather then getting 10 people saved for 1 boss if it HAPPENS to go down. To each his own though, let me know what you guys think :)

Stoneskin Recieves a 24 Hour Wow Forum ban!

Yea so this is just really a heads up for people out there. I tried to Post this message on 3 separate servers, all of which I play or have played on, and next thing I know they are all Deleted.

So Yea you really can't promote your own Blog with World of Warcraft's forums. This is something that I never knew.

I feel as though this could be a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing. I believe that if someone is going around spamming every server he could get his hand on, its a good thing to limit. I also believe though that it is a bad thing because people should be able to promote what they want!

Making some Gold!!

So I have tried many different ways to make some extra gold for the upcoming expansion, many of which did not work, so I am going to share with you one of my things that did work!! :D

Titansteel Bars!
I am just going to use some of my figures here to show what can be done with saronite, and a little bit of gold!

First Thing you will need is A lot of Saronite ore... for me I used 10 stacks

107g 50s For 10 stacks of Saronite Ore
56g 00s For 4 Eternal Fire
10g 00s For 4 Eternal Earth
20g 00s For 4 Eternal Shadow
-----------------
194 Gold 25 Silver Spent

Second Thing you will Need is a Alchemist for Transmuting. Transmute all of the Saronite ore and make it Titanium ore. This will give you 12 Bars, if the alchy's not Transmutation spec.

Last thing you will need to do is make the Bars themselves. You could hire Yourself a smelter, or do it yourself. (Note: If you do not have a high enough miner, you will have to get him/her to smelt the saronite bars as well.)

Next is the profit!! My favorite part. Every Server is different when it comes to material prices. Titansteel bars on my server sell for about 100g each so I made 400g.

400 Gold Total
-194 Gold Investment
-----------------
205 Gold Profit

Two Things that I would like to note is this. You can make alot more if your Alchey is a Transmutation specialist, And this is on a very small scale, if you were to times everything by 10, thats a 2000g Profit for almost no work.

Trying out some Priests

So I just recently got my priest to 79, soon to be 80, and I was thinking about Dual-Boxing them. I was going to just run them in Heroics till they got some gear, but I was wondering if I should take one Healy and one dps. I think I am going to put healbot on one of the priests, and just make the other shadow. It will be pretty neat being my own mana battery :)

PVP'in with the hunters

PVP hunters

So I decided that I would take my hunters into the battlegrounds now, since they are both level 18. I have to say that it is amazing what you can do in WSG with 2 hunters.

I know it may not seem that awesome, but I just kept getting win after win today, racking up alot of honor for my level. I won't say that this is the best way to level, but I will say that it is a good time.

The macros for pvping are fairly simple, and The only real problems I am coming across are my pets running off in the wrong direction. With one simple button press, they are right back on the target :)

Turtling Fun
This had to be the best Battleground of the day. I just barely killed a Warrior that had our flag, which lead us to cap and pull ahead 1-0. Then for some reason, the horde grabbed our flag, and we grabbed thiers, and they camped with it. I died about 6 times trying to get the flag away when finally I had just had enough. So I figured if you can't beat them, join them :) So this is me and my two hunters stealthed waiting for the attack. The best part about this was that the horde just kept coming!! I mowed down wave after wave of them. We ended up winning 1-0 and I ended up leveling them to 19, so today was a good day.

Multiboxing

What is Multiboxing?

It is a term that is used to describe 1 person playing multiple toon's. You can do this with one computer, or multiple computers. Pretty much this puts you in the drivers seat, allowing you to make it as easy or hard as you want to. You can play 2 accounts, or even up to 20 Accounts at one time!

How to

The very first thing that you are going to need is at least 2 copies of the game that you want to play. I am just going to use wow as a reference because that's what I play. The next thing that you want to do is check that your computer will be able to handle all of the accounts that you are creating. A simple way to test this is to start a bunch of trial accounts and run them all into a major city.

The next thing that you will want to do is to get yourself a Multiboxing Program, like Pwnboxer or Keyclone. I would suggest that you get Pwnboxer because of all the cool features that come with it :). These programs Pretty much take the keys that you press, and transfer them to all of the games you have running. Once you have your accounts ready, and your program up and running its time to get some macros going.

Macro's are a huge part of Multiboxing. I mean if you want everyone to be casting and hitting the same things at the same time, you have to tell them what to do. They have macros for just about everything in wow which include:

Follow and Quest accept macros

Focus/Casting Macros

Formation Macros

/dance /wave and the always popular /cheer

The list just goes on and on, and one day I will put together a whole list for all the Multiboxing macros out there.

Why??

This is the main question that a lot of people will ask you when you are multiboxing. The only real answer I can give is that everyone does it for their own reasons. Some people just like to play 5 accounts at once so they can run instances themselves. Others do it because they want to level two toon's together quickly. Some just want to knock out a lot of dailys, and get twice the rewards. Some just like the challenge, or feeling like they are unstoppable.

Is it legal/Is the program Legal ?

This is another concern when it comes to multiboxing. People on your server will have one of three reactions to seeing your multiple characters. The first being that they are just awestruck, and they love every min of it. The second is my favorite, people just run up to you, yell "FAG" then run away. The third is those noble people that think you are a cheater/hacker. They spam you non stop telling you that you are a cheater and that they are going to report you for what you are doing. The fact of the matter is that blizzard loves multiboxers, I mean imagine how much more money they are making knowing that 1 person is paying for 5 accounts at one time!!

Advantages

You can make tons of Gold Multiboxing. You can choose to do 5 dailies at one time, farm instances for a lot of gold, or just farm Badges for primordial Saronite :O.

Zoot and his Hair club for Men on Kael Thas sever does just that. Doing the daily every day with your group of 5 scores you 10 frost badges every day. In about 2 weeks that 5 primordial saronites just for doing the dailies on those toons!

Depending on what classes you choose, you could also become a PVP god. There is nothing worse then seeing 5 shammy's charging up some lighting bolts that are headed in your direction. Or think about how 5 Druids could just Hot themselves into never dieing!

Disadvantages
Multiboxing does has its disadvantages too. It can be a very hard thing to do if your computer starts to freak out on you because you have 5 copies of the game running. The worst is when you have your toons on autofollow, then you run to where you are going only to realize that one toon didn't follow you. Questing is not too bad, but collection quests can become a nightmare! But since wow added heirloom items, the hassle of leveling has become much easier.

Naming them

This is where you can be very creative with your toons. Some people like to name all of their toons differently, to try to throw others off. Some make them exactly the same, so that their main controlling toon can't be found in the heat of battle. You could make a zoot, and have the second hairclub for men, or you could make yourself a hunter and name him bowjob. Wether you name your toon Bangpow or Powboom, I think that you will have a great time with them.

Combinations

These are just a few of the combinations you can use to level

5 Pallys
5 Shammys :)
1 Priest 3 Mages 1 Pally
1 Priest 1 Druid
2 Hunters/Warlocks
And the list goes on and on, you pick what you like best :)

Remember Zoot says: "Make sure you have at least 1 dispeller, and 1 cleanser in the group for the most efficent group of 5"

Rolling some new toons

Hunters
So life in Stoneskin land now Consists of two new hunters. I am multiboxing these two hunters, and so far I like it. I am having a few problems controlling the pets and auto attacks, but I am starting to work my way through that. I am only level 16 right now, but kill times are staying fast, and there is virtually no downtime.

Pets
I have decided to go with two cats as my pets. I chose these two pets because I will be leveling these hunters in instance for the most part. The cats are not that bad of a choice, but if you leave there stealth turned on you will kill the mob before your even has a chance to hit it.

Gear

As you can see they are both in very different sets of gear. Both sets of gear are working well for me, and I am not having issued with their dps, which might change at higher levels.

You can tell that it is just about time for another expansion. This will be the third one that I have been through and they are all the same way. Patch days will just keep getting longer and longer. The good news in this situation is that blizzard will sometimes "refund" your account with a random day. Now, they don't always do this, but if you shoot them an e-mail about how you can't play, they will normally try to fix your problem.

I guess with all this time we spend not playing, we can go and buy ourselves some Celestial Steeds! Enjoy your 6 hours of off time, or, even better, sleep!

The Future you!

So I was just playing around with pwnboxer today and I saw this check box called enable mouse broadcasting. Long story short, this gives people the advantage of having their mouse at multiple places at one time. It not only shows up on every single screen, but it also allows you to click on every account all at once. Imagine 5 Blizzards or Death and Decays at once.

With this new tool at my disposal, my possibilities are endless. I can not wait to see what I can go do with them. Do you think that "Future You" will switch, and do some crazy AoE Damage?

Is the Celestial Steed Worth it?

To buy or not to buy?
I know many people right now are storming Blizzard's store, trying to get their hands on this new mount called the celestial steed. At a steep price of $25, I do not know if getting the mount is really worth it. If you Consider that you get one for ALL of your toons on your account, and it counts as EVERY kind of mount, it might be worth it.

Your first mount is going to cost you 1 gold at level 20. Your next mount is going to run you about 10 gold at level 40. At level 60, you can buy your first flying mount, which will cost you 50 Gold. And last but not least, your epic flyer will run you 100 gold. That's 161 gold for buying all the cheapest mounts you can get. If you are a new player,or if you are multiboxing, this could be a great thing.

161g x 10 players = 1610 Gold
1610 gold x 5 Accounts = 8050 Gold

Now, will that multiboxer spend that 125 dollars to make up for that 8k gold? I guess that is just the preference of the multiboxer.
